The ChoiceHe lay amidst the dust of the dried prairie and watched the distant thunderhead massing on the horizon. He wondered at the piling clouds, some great attempt by the corrupt landscape to reach into the heavens in search of redemption, or maybe just God himself sending a fury down upon this place so deserving of His wrath. As the sun set behind the storm it lit the clouds ablaze, all gold and crimson. The end of this day evidence for the end of all days.
